Win Permanent Branding and Free Advertising [contest]

Before you login, I just had an amazing idea for a new way to help promote Jetstreamtraffic and build
your downlines in a bunch of other programs.

Here's what I've got in mind….

I'm going to put together a rebrandable report that you can add your links to and give away. But to make it a little more interesting, I'm launching a contest where you have a chance to contribute to the report and get a load of exposure and branding.

What we need...

The report will showcase how you use Jetstreamtraf… Continue

Important Notice | How to use the Departure Lounge
Nobody likes rules so I'll do this a little differently.

The Departure Lounge is not like an ordinary forum - it is a fully featured social network and provides a much more effective platform for sharing ideas and connecting with like-minded people. In order for the network to operate effectively and so you get the most out of it, I have written this short guide on how best to use the Departure Lounge.

7 Steps to Effective Networking with Jetstreamtraffic

1. Be professional
You should use this platform to form genuine relationships with other members. That means acting professionally at all times, being courteous and respecting other peoples opinions and privacy.
Other networks allow (and even encourage) users to post promotions on other members' pages. This is SPAM and will not be tolerated at Jetstreamtraffic.

2. Use Your Blog
If you go to 'My Page" you will see a Blog section. This is the place where you can build your network by sharing your ideas and establishing yourself as an expert. In this blog, you can write about anything you choose (obviously something related to online marketing or traffic exchanges will work best).
The most popular blogs will be added to the Jetstreamtraffic RSS feed and will be distributed automatically across the internet through Twitter, Facebook etc and in our member newsletters.

3. Be Creative
Try new methods of reaching out to people to get your idea across. For example, if you have a great affiliate program that you want to promote on your blog, consider writing a review about it instead of just trying to sell it outright. You can offer a fully objective opinion (including some downsides) to give an honest and balanced picture. This way, readers are far more likely trust you and relate to you and that's how relationships start.

4. Be Helpful
Everyone has something to offer and the best way to get noticed and make new contacts is to offer some help or advice. Internet marketing is a massive world and the learning curve is gargantuan. However, there is always someone who knows less about something than you, so try to exchange information and help others. The more you help others, the better you will become as a teacher and others will notice this. You will quickly become an expert and people will soon look you out when they need advice.

5. Ask questions
On the flipside, it's impossible to know about everything. No matter how much experience you have or how much you think you know, it's important that you always continue to learn. The best way to learn is to ask a question. And be specific, instead of asking a broad question like "How can I make money online?" (to which there are infinite answers) ask something like "Can you explain your business model to me in 5 sentences?" (that is a direct question with a clear outcome to which someone can easily respond).

6. Always Add Value
When you are communicating with someone in the community, ask yourself "Am I doing this for my own benefit, or am I really helping someone else?" It's a great way of making sure you add value by providing something useful for others.

7. Use a good quality photograph in your profile pages
It's always best to use a real photo instead of an avatar or logo so people begin to recognise you and trust you. It's much easier to relate to a face and networking is all about branding YOU. You should aim to use the same picture wherever you can across the internet so that people recognise you instantly.
